Who is Coach Sid Edwards?
Coach Sid is currently the Dean of Students and Head Football Coach at Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge.
Career and Family Life
He is a legendary coach with more than 44 years in Coaching, including Catholic High, 10 years; Redemptorist, 7 years; Jesuit, 1 year; Central, 17 years. He was also the Athletic Director of the Central School System for 11 years. He is the Winningest coach in the Capital Region garnering him three State Championship. His honors include: NFL National Coach of the Year, Louisiana 5A Coach of the Year, named “Coach of the Decade.”
He has been married to his wife Beanie for 37 years. They have four children and three grandchildren. Two of their children are autistic young men who live with them and they care for daily.
